The Remote Observer - Vol 2

If you were too blinded by the beauty of the Chroma Dynasty Skin to read through the PC patch notes, worry not! Below is a look at the hidden gems that might have been overlooked in the dragon’s hoard last week’s update and hotfixes.

Console Tenno, not too much came your way in terms of bug fixes or content releases as our team works on getting Octavia’s Anthem ready for Cert, but you can expect many of the following changes in future patches.

PC - WHAT YOU MAY HAVE MISSED

Invasion Missions

  • The downtime between attacks on the Invasion schedule has been halved to 12-24 hours and the amount of Construction Progress earned is increased.
  • Hovering over the Invasion node (or choosing a mission from the Invasion screen) shows the mission type.
  • Fixed attacker/defender missions not cycling every 15 minutes.

PhysX

  • PhysX effects are re-enabled for Nvidia drivers newer than 381.65 as a previous memory leak seems to be fixed. The sparkles are back! Learn more in our Dev Workshop here.

Mirage and Light

  • Mirage’s abilities now see light more often, meaning Eclipse deals heavier damage, and Prism’s range and damage increase by 15-20%.

Octavia

  • You can now control the volume of other Octavias via a slider in your Audio Settings!

Other Highlights

  • The Valana Ayatan Statue can now be found in-game, we promise!
  • Fixed Relic rewards changing if a Host migration takes place during an endless Void Fissure mission.
  • Enabled IPv6 for some servers to resolve login issues in certain regions. Learn more. Significantly reduced load-times for slower systems running DirectX 11

PC - WHAT IS TO COME

Abilities Descriptions

  • The Abilities screen for Mirage Eclipse and Rhino Roar now show damage increase and reduction as a % to match the formatting of the HUD indicator in-game.

Mobile Defense Changes

  • Console objectives will be enabled one-by-one in sequence.

Earth Remaster

That’s all for this week, Tenno! Be sure to keep an eye out for the next edition of The Remote Observer and we’ll keep an eye out for anything else you could have missed.
