Iceblade of Narin: Hotfix 44.0.1
Sep 24, 2026

Hi Tenno!

It’s been just over 24 hours since Iceblade of Narin launched, and we firstly want to thank you all for jumping into the update, and sharing your thoughts and fast bug reports with us!

Seeing you come together as a community and piece together the clues to fulfill the prophecy was really special, and we recognize that we have many learnings from it.

The Iceblade of Narin update is a continuation of our attempts to try new things with Warframe. Not every Warframe will come with a Quest, therefore we must adapt. It’s imperative that we experiment and get your feedback to educate us as we move forward to Tau and beyond. Warframe is a game built with our Community, and that Community ebbs and flows with differing desires and playstyles. We will continue to try new things in our updates, and we thank you again for helping us to shape this world together.

You will see in this Hotfix that we are bringing deeper clarification to some of the hot topic changes, alongside changes/fixes to address critical feedback <3

Some Clarifications from Iceblade of Narin Patch Notes:

Archimedea Personal Modifier Groups
This is a new system in Personal Modifier generation for Temporal and Deep Archimedea that was missed in our original patch notes. There are some weeks that can almost feel excessively punishing depending on which Personal Modifiers you receive — to avoid cases of this happening in the future, Personal Modifiers have been separated into four different Groups.

Each week on reset, one Modifier from each Group will be randomly selected to help avoid overly difficult combinations. Due to Archimedea Modifiers being selected at the beginning of the week and Iceblade of Narin launching on a Wednesday, this is not currently live. That said, you will see the first installment of this updated system  apply to Personal Modifiers after this upcoming weekly reset: September 28, 2026 at Midnight UTC.

Group One:

  • Ability Overload
  • Dropped Guard
  • Dull Blades
  • Framecurse Syndrome
  • Hypersensitive
  • Knifestep Syndrome
  • Low Yield
  • Secondary Wounds
  • Undersupplied

Group Two:

  • Abbreviated Abilities
  • Channeled Greed
  • Constricted
  • Energy Exhaustion
  • Powerless
  • Shortened Reach

Group Three:

  • Ammo Deficit
  • Gear Embargo
  • No Pets Allowed
  • Transference Distortion

Group Four:

  • Anemic Shields
  • Fractured Armor
  • Infected Wounds
  • Lethargic Shields
  • Permanent Injury
  • Untreatable

Entropic Eximus Clarifications
With the introduction of our new Entropic Eximus units, we kept our initial patch note description intentionally vague to encourage players to discover the best ways to take them down. An unintended result was player confusion about some of the mechanics and we apologize for any frustration this decision caused.

To help you in your hunt for Entropic Eximus (and their Entropic Kuva), we’re offering more information on how these enemies work so you can understand a) how to kill them and b) what behaviours are intended. We are also adding this information to the original Update Notes.

Entropic Eximus have a resistance to non-melee attacks, forcing you to get in close and use your melee weapon. Breaking the bubble will enable abilities to target the Eximus, but will not change the Eximus’s damage resistance.

  • Damage from non-melee sources is reduced by 90%.
    • For Operators, damage is instead reduced by 75%.
  • Companions do not target Entropic Eximus

Entropic Eximus bubbles prevent projectiles from entering, and prevent Warframe abilities from dealing damage to the Entropic Eximus, from both inside and outside the bubble! The bubble can be broken two ways:

  • Dealing melee damage with the Iceblade of Narin buff from Neote on Yuvan Peak will break the bubble if either the bubble or the Entropic Eximus is struck.
  • Tauron strikes will break the bubble upon contact.

We hope this clears up confusion around how to best approach taking on Entropic Eximus. If you’re hunting them down, don’t forget to check Void Angels for a few guaranteed spawns! To provide us feedback on Entropic Eximus, please head over to our Update 44 Zariman Updates Feedback Forum.

Necramech Slot Refund Script:
As mentioned in the Iceblade of Narin update notes, we have removed the need for Necramech Slots. The script refunding purchases Necramech Slots has completed, and players should see any Platinum spent on these slots returned to them via inbox message!

Changes:

  • Doubled the weighting of Narin's Blueprint in Zariman Exterminate and Mobile Defense missions following community feedback.
    • Exterminate and Mobile Defense missions are usually not the source of Warframe Blueprints, so we have increased the drop rate to be more forgiving.
  • Narin can now walk on water during Nurinarim!
  • Updated Hydroid and Hydroid Prime’s stats to properly swap Health and Shield values in order to help him make the most out of the armor gained from Plunder.
    • Iceblade of Narin accidentally swapped his Armor and Shield values, instead of the Health and Shield values as suggested by the community.
    • Hydroid Prime:
      • Health: 650
      • Shields: 370
      • Armor: 290
    • Hydroid:
      • Health: 365
      • Shields: 270
      • Armor: 240
  • Citrine Prime's shoulder details now dissolve when aiming down sights.
  • Removed the hit SFX on Entropic Eximus shields as it was being played squad-wide. This is a temporary change until we can fix the issue.

Top Fixes:

  • Fixed an elevator exploit resulting in ever-increasing Eximus spawn counts in Zariman Ten Zero missions.
  • Fixed being unable to destroy Corrupted Nullifier bubbles by shooting the bubble itself.
  • Fixed longer transmission SFX being cut off early.
  • Fixed Citrine Prime's shoulder armor offsets being upside down.
  • Fixed the Mausolon, Morgha, and Cortege's Alt Fires not charging.
  • Fixed the Dorrclave's unique trait not functioning properly.
  • Fixed certain metals appearing flat when tinted black following our Metal Shader changes (notably on the Frost Harka and Kullervo Apostate skins).
    • This change also restored the ability to create pitch black materials on Voidshell skins.
    • Also fixed some cases of golden Decorations being too yellow following our metal shader changes. Given the variety of decorations in the game, many still remain affected, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for reports as we continue to work to address this issue.
  • Fixed the Neo K10 Relic having the Gyre Systems instead of the Gyre Prime Systems.
    • Replacement Script: We’ll be replacing all claimed Gyre Systems with the correct Gyre Prime Systems via a script later this week. We’ll update this thread with more information once it is complete.
  • Fixed cases of players getting both positive and negative values of all rolled Traits when cycling an unlocked Riven.
    • Also fixed rare cases of players being able to roll a positive and negative value of the same trait.
    • Riven Mod Fixing: This was patched live yesterday (September 23) at around 12pm ET, but some players may have chosen the Riven with the broken stats. For those Riven Mods with a) multiple negative traits or b) a trait that has both a positive and a negative, the incorrect negative traits will be removed in a future hotfix.
    • Kuva Refund Script: players who cycled a Riven and were presented a broken Riven will have their Kuva refunded via a script, regardless if the broken Riven was chosen. We will update this thread with more information once it is run!
  • Fixed Narin being able to equip a Heavy Weapon while Nurinarim is active.

Performance Issues:

  • Fixed Clients experiencing a large spotload after travelling from the Yuvan Peak to the Chrysalith.
  • Fixed performance issues related to Narin.
  • Fixed performance issues sometimes leading to a crash in Yuvan Peak when someone attempts to pull Narin's Iceblade.
  • Fixed performance issues caused by Aksondol's reload when using Mirage with Hall of Mirrors active.

Mission and Equipment Fixes:

  • Fixed the Mobile Defense terminal having a misaligned interaction prompt if it spawned in the new Melica's Laboratory tile in the Zariman Ten Zero.
  • Fixed Ivara being able to control her Primary Weapon like a Glaive due to an interaction between Navigator and Wrathful Advance.
  • Fixed missing vortex SFX in the Ryoku fight in Scoria's Angel missions.
  • Fixed the cold mist from Aksonol's reload incorrectly triggering Secondary Enervate.

Cosmetic Fixes:

  • Fixes towards GI lighting over-emphasizing Operator/Drifter pores.
  • Fixed Citrine Prime losing her shoulder piece, skirt, and other prime attachments after equipping the Aphrodita Helmet or a TennoGen helmet.
    • While we are fixing this bug, we will be turning these attachments into an Auxiliary attachment in a future update.
  • Fixed tint colors not applying to the crystal reflections on the Spinele Prime Operator/Drifter accessories.
  • Fixes towards cloth physics issues on Narin's skirt.
  • Fixed the Gothica Signa's cloth not being tattered.

Miscellaneous Fixes:

  • Fixed attempting to pull out Narin's Iceblade while in motion resulting in the animation being misaligned.
    • Also fixed missing SFX when attempting to pull out Narin's Iceblade.
    • Also fixed cases of the VFX being misaligned.
  • Fixed a broken icon and filepath appearing in Cephalon Melica's vendor screen on the Yuvan Peak.
  • Fixed cases of emoting next to Narin's Iceblade causing players to fall through the map.
  • Fixed gifting multiple Relic Packs resulting in each pack containing the same Relics.
    • If you were affected by this issue (as the gifter), we ask that you submit a support ticket for further assistance.
  • Fixed various map holes and texture seams in The War Within map.
  • Fixed minor skybox lighting issues in the remastered The War Within map.
  • Fixed missing SFX when unlocking a Riven Trait and made various minor polish changes to this screen.
  • Fixed a player dying after an attempted but failed revive causing their death message to incorrectly state that they were revived.
  • Fixed missing information in Narin's market blueprint description.
  • Fixed minor polish issues in Narin's diorama.
  • Fixed additional cases of Warframes that were released prior to Oraxia not using colorful status icons for their stats in menus.
  • Fixed a minor typo on the update screen that Gary was unfairly blamed for. Sorry Gary!
  • Fixed a minor grammatical error in the Iceblade Blessing description.
  • Fixed cases text not being localized or placeholder descriptions being used on non-English Clients, notably in Narin's market blueprint description and in Melica's Vendor screen.
  • Fixed various script errors related to Narin's Neote, Hakchum, and Naraemagi.
  • Fixed a script error caused by Commandeered Ember's Inferno ability in The Perita Rebellion missions.
  • Fixed a script error related to Banshee's Sound Quake.
  • Fixed a script error related to Banshee's Sonic Boom.
