The Old Peace: Coming December 10, 2025

Our next major update is on the horizon! The Old Peace arrives on December 10, 2025, bringing a new Quest, new characters, new game modes and more. We’ve covered a lot of what’s to come across various streams, so let’s recap what you can expect:
- A new Quest: The Old Peace
- Three new Protoframes, who serve as vendors and are accessible via the KIM system
- New Warframe: Uriel
- New Weapon Class: Bayonet
- Two new game modes: Descendia and The Perita Rebellion (accessible via the Dark Refractory)
- Focus School Expansion: Tauron Strikes
- Operator and Drifter remaster
- Gyre Prime
- Voruna Deluxe
- ...and more!
Skip Ahead into Tau
We’re introducing a new (free) feature with The Old Peace: the ability to skip past Quest requirements to access the new gameplay content immediately. This skip mechanic is designed to let newer players join their friends in-Mission, or returning players try out the latest content if they haven’t yet finished all of their Quests.
This option will not skip Quests — think of it as getting a taste of The Old Peace Missions, where you can play with friends, but you’ll still need to play the main story to make use of your Rewards!
To keep this balanced around that intention, it’s coming with a few caveats:
- Skip Ahead players cannot publicly matchmake into Dark Refractory missions if they are below Mastery Rank 10.
- Skip Ahead players do not have access to The Devil’s Triad vendors or KIM chats. (or any other Quest-locked content outside of the two new gamemodes).
This is an experimental feature, borne from the reality that, after 13 years, letting new and returning players jump into shiny new content is important for our longevity. Rest assured, we’ll be keeping a close eye on its implementation should any additional changes be needed.
The Devil’s Triad
We are not introducing a new Syndicate with The Old Peace, but you should be familiar with the incoming characters at this point. The Devil’s Triad are not only romanceable via the KIM system, but will also serve as Vendors for new content introduced in the update.
- Lyon Allard: You’ll have to earn his trust before he shows you his wares!
- Marie Leroux: The source of Tektolyst Artifacts, which unlock the ability to perform Tauron Strikes for Focus Schools. We’ll cover this more in the Tauron Strike section below.
- Roathe: We only showed one part of Roathe’s offerings: Honoria. While players will be able to earn these titles from completing certain tasks in Warframe, there are additional Honoria that are purchasable from Roathe. These feature resources from older updates, to showcase your mastery of existing content — if you count owning 250 Harrow Chassis as mastery, that is.
While we’re talking about The Devil’s Triad, we also teased Marie’s kiss!
63rd Warframe: Uriel

Devstream 191 included a showcase of Uriel’s full kit!
Uriel’s Abilities
Passive: Uriel’s passive comes in the form of a legion of demons. Each Demon unlocks with an Ability as you rank him up.
- Catenach: Unlocked by Uriel’s first Ability, this little guy just loves to chain people. Catenach unleashes a chain towards enemies, and all enemies chained will share damage.
- Gulphagor: Unlocked by Uriel’s second Ability, Gulphagor is a bit of a hugger. This Demon targets high-priority enemies and launches himself on them. Targeted foes are crowd-controlled and killing them will drop Orbs.
- Vythelas: Unlocked by Uriel’s third Ability, Vythelas creates Runes from the corpses of killed enemies. Walking through the Rune buffs your Weapons with increased Fire Rate and Elemental Heat Ammo.
Part of Uriel’s playstyle is keeping an eye on what your Demons are up to, and taking advantage of their effects on the battlefield. Doing so will charge up a bar in Uriel’s HUD that is tied to his fourth Ability. After all, everything is more fun with friends!
Ability 1: We’ve shown off Infernalis before, but as a reminder: casting it causes a fire aura around Uriel. Tap Dodge to take flight as a flaming meteor. Aiming mid-flight allows you to fire at enemies.
Ability 2: Simple but useful, Uriel’s second Ability cleanses Status Effects and heals you and your Demons. If a Demon has died, this will resurrect them.
Ability 3: Uriel rips out the souls of his Demons, and launches them in search of new victims. Souls explode on contact with an enemy, inflicting Damage Vulnerability. If you have Infernalis active, its Fire effect also applies to your Demons’ Souls for added synergy!
Ability 4: Uriel’s interactions with his Demons charge the bar in his HUD. Once charged, Uriel can cast his four, with the effect of "everything's on fire and everything dies”.
Alternate Helmet
While Uriel is coming with his very own Gemini skin, we can’t forget his new Alt helmet as well! Introducing the Uriel Asmodion Helmet (and a special Weapon that we'll discuss further down below).

Focus Expansion: Tauron Strikes
Our journey in The Old Peace will uncover the long-lost knowledge of Tauron Strikes, an expansion to your Focus Schools!
After completing The Old Peace, players can visit Marie to purchase Tektolyst Artifacts, which are key to using these new ultimate abilities. Each Focus School has their own Weapon that can be unlocked, and upgraded:
- Cogron, The Hammer of Unairu
- Nidri, the Staff of Vazarin
- Thara, the Bow of Madurai
- Vexoric, the Sword of Naramon (shown in our TennoCon 2025 Demo!)
- Lorak, the Grimoire of Zenurik
Once you have purchased a Focus School’s Tektolyst Artifact, new Focus Nodes will become available in that School. These are upgraded using a mix of existing Focus Points and new Resources introduced in The Old Peace.
Additionally, your Artifact can be upgraded using Arcanes and Augments that drop during The Perita Rebellion game mode.
New Game Mode: The Perita Rebellion
The Perita Rebellion is a game mode that takes you back to the battlefields of Tau.
- Hunhullus
- Dactolyst
- Vanguard

In the mission select screen, you’ll also see the Focus Schools listed. In addition to determining your School and Tauron Strike, your choice also determines what kind of buffs you can earn for your Warframe in-Mission.
With those decisions made, it’s time to recall the war itself. Every mission in The Perita Rebellion unfolds in a similar way: you have 12 minutes to complete as many objectives as you can, which will earn you special Warframe buffs for your final fight.
On the battlefield, you’ll see and experience other features, including:
- A Parazon grapple mechanic (seen in the TennoCon 2025 Demo).
- Commandeered Prime Vanguard Warframes that attempt to stop you.
- Initiative Shards that can be collected for additional Warframe buffs (buffs are granted once you collect 3 of them).
At the end of the 12 minutes, you will be transported to a separate arena. There, the foe you selected in the Dark Refractory will be waiting for a final showdown. There is no time limit to complete this fight — the 12 minutes only apply to the preparation period, where you complete as many objectives as possible to help your allies (and your Warframe).
Operation: Blood of Perita
Starting December 16, Operation: Blood of Perita will be running, offering extra Rewards for your efforts! Players will need to have completed The Old Peace to participate, so you have an extra week post-update to get yourself in fighting shape.
As with other Operations, you’ll have a chance to earn shiny new offerings including an Honoria and Valdur’s Syandana, plus returning items as well!
Other Content
New Weapon Type: Bayonet
Since we're introducing trench warfare, we figured we should equip you accordingly! The Old Peace will offer a new Bayonet weapon type, debuting with the Vinquibus.
Equipping the Vinquibus takes up both your Primary and Melee weapon slots, with the ability to Mod both forms of the weapon. Swap between shooting and meleeing with ease, and earn benefits from your kills with the weapon’s unique traits:
- Melee kills grant rifle ammo efficiency.
- Rifle headshots grant bonus melee damage.
Voruna Medeina
We first revealed the Voruna Deluxe Skin concept as a donation goal in our Quest to Conquer Cancer, but during the Devstream we showed her off in all her in-game glory.
The Voruna Medeina Collection also comes with a Sarofang skin and wolf tail Ephemera!
Gyre Prime
Gyre Prime will make her electrifying debut as part of The Old Peace update. We’ve showcased her design before, but this Devstream revealed her Prime Accessories, too.
As a refresher of what to expect with Gyre Prime Access:
- Kestrel Prime
- Alternox Prime
- Triodic Prime Syandana
- Vanda Prime Armor Set

Lunar New Year 2026
Next year is the Year of the Horse, so naturally we're celebrating with Dagath!
She will be getting her own Deluxe Skin as part of our Lunar New Year celebrations in February 2026:

We can’t give a skin to a horse girl without offering a Customization for her trusty Kaithe as well:

We'll also be offering a huggable version of the Kaithe Deluxe, in Floof form!

If you don’t already own Dagath, you'll be able earn her components via special alerts during January.
