Warframe: The Remote Observer: Vol 72

Welcome to issue 72 of The Remote Observer, Tenno! As you may have already seen, Update 26: The Old Blood has been sent to cert for all Console Platforms! You can expect to see a whole bunch of new features and fixes with this update, so without delay, let’s get into the highlights!

NEW CONTENT TO DEVOUR!

There is a lot going into Update 26: The Old Blood, a regular meatball of content, fixes and quality of life changes for you to sink your teeth into. Not only that, but Console players will also get most of the changes and fixes released on the PC client! This Cert Process was one of the quicker ones, as we wanted to make sure all of our Console Tenno got their hands on Update 26 as soon as possible! What can you expect? Well, let us plunge into the Kuva supplies and find out!

GRENDEL! - Get your hands on the latest addition to the Warframe roster, Grendel! Consume and roll your way to victory with this amazing, selfless Warframe! Check out the Levarian for more details on how to acquire him!
KUVA LICHS! - Your own personal nemesis, coming to you with a vengeance! Find a Larvling, create a Lich and then fight them until you can either kill them, or brainwash them into fighting for you!
ARBITRATION CHANGES! - We have lots of changes being included from both the Arbitration Rework and The Old Blood. From new Arcanes to a new offerings added to the Arbiter Honors Store, there are a lot of reasons to check out this Game Mode!
4 NEW TENNOGEN BUNDLES! - Something old, something new, something shiny, something… cool? Lots of new TennoGen items are being added, both a combination of Round 17 items, as well as lots of old items from over the years!
ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS! - 2 new PS4 Trophies, 2 new XBOX Achievements and 2 new Challenges for Nintendo™ Switch!

NINTENDO™ SWITCH GETS SOME FEATURE TREATS

And what a time to get some updates! As we celebrate the first anniversary of Warframe on the Nintendo™ Switch, we have been hard at work making changes, fixes and features that better utilize the hardware and bring some quality of life to our Nintenno!

USB CHAT SUPPORT! - We are adding new functionality to allow voice chat through USB devices! Just go to Options > Audio > Enable Voice to start using your USB device!
SD CARD PERFORMANCE! - We have made some changes that help increase player connectivity by making some improvements to the way Warframe works with SD Cards. Remember, we highly suggest you use a MicroSD card supported by Nintendo™ by checking their compatibility website!
SOME GRAVY! - We have added other improvements to Shader Performance, Audio Performance and even an expanded Keyboard Dictionary!
SOME SEASONING! - We also included a lot of Nintendo™ Switch-specific fixes, such as multiple crashes, black screen issues when loading into a mission, jittery animations on flying units, controller lockups and texture issues!

PC AIN’T GOING HUNGRY THOUGH

Last night we released another Hotfix for the PC Client, however it feels a lot like a mini-update in and of itself! While some of these changes may not make it into release for the Console version of Update 26: The Old Blood, you can be assured they will be added in a later update! Check the Patch Notes for the full, 3-course meal of changes and fixes, but for quick reference, here are some of the goodies:

GOTTA CONVERT THEM ALL! - Lich Trading is now here! The Crimson Branch is a new Dojo room that lets you trade a converted Lich over to another Tenno, so they can then gain that Kuva Lich as an active enemy. Remember, you can only trade your Kuva Lich once!
IT’S NOT A BUG… - Kuva Lich Ephemera can now be equipped on Pets and Sentinels, albeit at a lower visibility. While this only works with Kuva Lich Ephemera, we are working on expanding this to all Ephemera! On top of that, we have increased the drop chance of your Kuva Lich gaining an Ephemera from 5% to 10% on generation!
SHY LARVLING FIXES - We have added a lot of fixes for issues that were preventing Kuva Larvlings from becoming Kuva Liches. This includes if your Umbra did the stabbing for you, a Mirage clone downing the Larvling, or if a Stealth Mercy was performed.
BIGGER BOOMS - We fixed an issue where the bonus of a Kuva Weapon was not applying to explosion damage! Now you can gib your enemies at full power!
MARKED FOR DEATH - We added a visual marker to show a Kuva Lich’s influence so players with color blindness can better locate their aggressor!
CRITICAL CHEF KNIVES - The ‘Steel’ series of mods have received a sizable increase to Critical Chance. In addition, there have been a lot of changes to various Stances across the board, helping the Melee Rework Phase 2 feel a bit smoother, as well as helping the flow of combat. It cuts! It slices!
