We’ve deployed a new update that introduces two experimental Accessibility features for iOS: MoveAssist and a new Unified Movement button. While we are calling this a hotfix, it is actually a small CERT update (learn more about what that means here).

Depending on your Automatic App Update preferences, you may need to manually update the app.

iOS Exclusive Changes

• Added the experimental MoveAssist function to Solo Exterminate Missions.
  • MoveAssist is an optional play style that can be enabled by tapping a new button in the bottom left screen on Solo Exterminate missions only.
  • With MoveAssist enabled, your Warframe will automatically traverse the mission map, moving in the general direction of the closest enemy, objective, or extraction point. For more information, read our dedicated Dev Workshop. 

• Added Unified Movement controls as a touch control option.
  • In order to simplify movement and traversal for brand new players, and to decrease the number of buttons on screen, we’re introducing a new movement system that allows the player to execute forward movement, bullet jumps, sliding, and more by pressing and holding a single button.
  • A single tap will result in a standard jump, while a second tap will result in a double jump.
  • Holding is where things get interesting: holding the ‘Unified’ button on the right side of the screen and pressing the virtual joystick forward on the left side of the screen will result in a slide, followed by a bullet jump, returning to sliding, in a continuous loop of forward motion.
  • Players can toggle between their preferred movement styles under Options > Touch > Travel Button Preset (Unified, Legacy, Custom).

Additional Changes & Fixes

• Improved visual clarity on available Quests, to assist new players in activating The Teacher Quest once it becomes available.
• Improvements to the Weapon Widget UI during missions.
  • Operator and Melee Mode buttons are hidden when the weapon slot is open.
  • Unify the opacity levels for the movement buttons and the weapon slot icons.
• Fixed a minor misalignment with the Market Offers icon on the Options screen. In Update 40, The Vallis Undermind, the iOS version of Warframe added tiles for Market Offers, Update Highlights, and Nightwave to the right side of the screen. This hotfix provides a small UI cleanup to better align the tiles.
• Small change to the Customize UI Layout page for touch controls.
• Tapping the Blue Arrow in the top centre of the screen will open up the Type, Layout, Reset, and Save options.
• Customize UI Layout can be found in Options > Touch.
