We’ve deployed a small update that delivers more of the improvements we outlined in our “Mobile Exclusive Changes Incoming” post from June 20th. This including reduced input latency, camera positioning changes, and a performance breakthrough with Duviri on 3GB RAM devices.
While we are calling this a hotfix, it is actually a small CERT update (learn more about what that means here). Depending on your Automatic App Update preferences, you may need to manually update the app.
iOS Specific Changes & Fixes
Changes
-
Reduced Input Latency: We’ve made improvements to touch control input latency that will enhance in-game responsiveness.
- This will improve the feeling of double jumping, bullet jumping, transitioning from the air to a ground slide, and much more!
- While these changes primarily impact touch control users, those using gamepads may notice minor improvements as well.
-
Camera Positioning Changes: We’ve repositioned the camera to be further away from the player character, so that your Warframe / Operator / Drifter occupy less space on screen.
- The player character is slightly more centre-of-screen, rather than left-of-centre.
- This allows for increased environmental awareness, which is key on smaller screens.
- Field of View (FoV) is set at 52 by default. This can still be adjusted in the Options > Display menu.
- The Duviri Paradox Quest is now playable on 3GB RAM devices: our team have made significant strides with performance optimization that will allow all supported devices to enjoy this quest.
- This includes iPhone XR, iPhone SE (gen2), iPad (gen 8), and iPad (gen 9).
- Note: post-quest gameplay, including The Duviri Experience, The Lone Story, and The Circuit, are still not playable on 3GB RAM devices.
- Note: at this time The New War quest is still not playable on 3 GB RAM devices.
- We will continue to work on performance optimization!
Fixes
- Fixed a loss of function that could occur if the player clicks the loadout button while the navigation screen is closing.
- Fixed UI becoming unresponsive if the player opens the decorate menu immediately after loading into a Clan Dojo.
- Fixed a UI overlap where the Emoji Window could block the player from closing their Chat window.
- Fixed being unable to rush the Negator build at the Foundry during Vor’s Prize, despite the game telling the player they can wait or rush.
- Fixed the “Crouch Button is Toggle” setting not working as intended on touch controls.
- Fixed the camera being too close to the player while riding a Dargyn and pressing crouch and jump.
- Fixed the “Reload with context action input” setting in the touch control options not allowing for manual reloading.
