By the Numbers: Tenno Arsenal

Welcome to By the Numbers, where we learn all kinds of things about the weapons we love and the targets we love to hit with them. More specifically, our Primary and Secondary weapons.

This week we take a statistics-focused look at weapons in the Tenno arsenal. Just the stats, Jack! Of course, every player has a preference. Some value accuracy over damage, for example. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to weapon selection. There are only answers... to the Grineer, Corpus, etc.

Let's not rank these weapons. Let's instead look at the arsenal from a few different angles.

20 Most Accurate Weapons (PC / PS4 / XB1) Jan 14 - Jan 21
In this first graph we see the top 20 most accurate weapons by platform. Notice the parity. Even cross-platform, Tenno appear capable of utilizing the same weapons at the same rates. Note that due to the limited time nature of MK1 weapons, all MK1 weapons were removed from consideration.

Mesa's Regulators were also included so to show what 'near perfect' accuracy looks like. She's ain't called 'the best shot in the Solar System' for nothin'.

With the exception of Snipetron (currently unavailable on consoles), it's clear that players take a little more care when aiming these 20 guns. No weapon here dips below 60% accuracy, which is pretty good in terms of ammo conservation. Bows have an advantage when it comes to accuracy since one shot generally means one kill, and shotguns require a close range to have guaranteed effective damage.

Because of the Snipetron and Snipetron Vandal, both consoles are missing a 'full' Top 20, but if we were to fill in the gaps:

Xbox One Missing Top 20 most Accurate
• Rakta Ballistica (65.88%)
• Lex (64.60%)
Playstation 4 Missing Top 20 most Accurate
• Lanka (65.17%)
• Detron (63.99%)

Of course, this chart shows hits on target, but not necessarily kills.

Top 5 Weapons, Enemies Slain (PC, XB1, PS4)

Since the start of January these five weapons have topped kills across all platforms combined. The numbers shown reflect enemies slain on all platforms, and have been broken down into three date ranges that give us a better idea of how these weapons perform over a short period of time.

Sometimes Tenno forfeit accuracy force lethality, as is the case with these Top 5 Weapons! If the Warriors of the Lotus are currently buying their ammunition from Darvo, we can see why the Corpus merchant likes hanging around Relays.

'Top 5 Weapons' Accuracy
• Torid - 17%
• Synoid Gammacor - 30%
• Amprex - N/A
• Penta - 14%
• Boltor Prime - 37%

While it's fun to statistically pit each of these weapons against one another, this is only a small portion of a much larger picture. The frame used, Mission selected, player preference naturally shape the effectiveness of every weapon. Numbers like these should always be taken with a grain of salt, and we judge no weapon based on a single factor. These numbers are only a glimpse at accumulated player preferences, and should not be seen as a guide for player builds.

That being said, if we wanted to judge a weapon taking both player accuracy and total kills accumulated into consideration, the end result would look something like this:

King of all Weapons, Jan 1-20 (PC, XB1, PS4)
• Dread - 247,780 / 68% Accuracy

We hope everyone has enjoyed this edition of By the Numbers. Tune in next time when we look at the Warframes themselves. Who is the most used? What Ability Power has killed the most enemies? All will be revealed.
