What better way to celebrate Naberus, the Orokin festival of death, than gathering ‘round to tell your scariest horror stories! Welcome to the Nights of Naberus 100-Word Microfiction Contest, where you’ll write an original Naberus-inspired story set in the Warframe universe using just 100 words. Sound like a fun challenge? It gets better: We’ll read every story submitted and choose three winners who will receive Revenant Prime Access and have their story shared on our social channels!

Naberus 100-Word Microfiction Contest Rules

The contest begins today and, in order to participate, you must submit a horror story that is no more than 100 words in length and includes one Mandatory Word and Mandatory Action from our list below.

The story must be an original piece of fiction that you created, it must be set within the Warframe world, and it must include elements of horror. Beyond that, it can be about anything you want! A Grineer patrol waylaid by a terrifying, unseen enemy? A young Ostron sneaking out to the Plains of Eidolon at night as a dare? Let your imagination run wild — so long as the end result is creepy, scary, or spine-chilling!

For your story to be eligible in the contest, it must meet the following qualifications:

- The story must be an original piece of horror fiction of your own creation.
- The story must be no more than 100 words in length.
- The story must contain at least one word from our Mandatory Word List (see below).
- The story must contain at least one action from our Mandatory Action List (see below).

All submissions must be made using this Google Form. You have until 11:59pm ET, October 30, 2022 to submit your story for consideration. On October 31, we will announce three winners on social media who will receive Revenant Prime Access!

Mandatory Word List

To help spark ideas and add a fun twist to this challenge, your story must include one of the following words at least once. You can make alterations to the word so long as the original word remains intact. For example, you could change “Harrow” to “Harrowing” and that would be acceptable. Changing “Stalker” to “Stalk” would not be acceptable, however.

All submissions must also include an Action listed below. Unlike the Mandatory Words above, Actions do not have to appear directly as written. You can get creative and describe the Action however you want, so long as it’s clear that the specified Action is taking place.
